Great roundup, Mike! The entry-level jobs section was the kicker for me. It’s not just the jobs themselves, it’s the whole pathway of how people are supposed to learn judgement, communication and decision-making if the early messy work gets automated away. That feels like one of the biggest questions underneath all of this. Not just what AI can do, but what humans stop getting the chance to practise. Thank you for a great read! We watched the show Paradise and Silo. Shows and movies often present and reflect the zeitgeist of our time. Perhaps warnings if what we will need to prepare and endure.
And, I know there needs to be breakdown to have breakthrough. So systems will need to collapse it seems.
When the best of humanity comes together we can get through anything.

The rescue story is great, and it actually shows that the difference isn’t “AI good vs. AI bad,” it’s that the rescue had a defined problem, a bounded task, and humans making the final call: exactly the conditions missing when AI gets sprayed across products in search of quick margins. Same technology, opposite deployment logic.

AI taking over so many entry level jobs is a bit concerning. I have the feeling we're living in a high degree inflation right now. All the hard work that went into earning those nice certificates on the wall might have been in vain after all.
Every week, I seem to come to the same conclusion: all of us should be in the garden. The beans don't care how many certified pieces of paper we've got on our walls.

Your insights on cyberattacks are very valuable. And combine those exploits with adversaries storing encrypted data until quantum computers can crack the encryption, it’s a scary world. Also scary, the compelling urge to upgrade until I can run a quant of GLM 5.2 locally!
The "harvest now, decrypt later" problem is one of the scarier corners of cybersecurity. Adversaries sitting on encrypted data for years... patiently waiting. This tidbit won't help me unwind and relax anytime soon. 😉
